Luke Rainbird
Any real reason Danny has currently got "-9" vids to his name?Probably something to do withhim deleting vids more than uploading I assume, but thought I'd point it out in any case
tomturd
Thats just to do with my cat sitting in front of my monitor not allowing me to sort it out. When she moves I'll fix it.

There goes out 150 day uptime... oh well not that big a deal I guess I'll sort it soon, pub now. Actually WTF I'm confused. My clock says 11.43. Radio says 12.43. What time is it? manuel
may sound stupid - but maybe a search function ? dont know how many vids you intend to have on here at any one time but if you are going to make it available to other forums ?quick edit : I think i preffered it when the speed of the upload was displayed .... reminds me to turn things off and gives you a better time estimation ? I preferred it too, but it wasnt working with some peoples browsers and it required using about 9 seperate files. The new flash uploader only uses 1 and it's more compatible it seems. I'll see if I can find a flash uploader with upload speed included.
tomturd
Ok embed works now and its going to stay like it is. Embed code is (where 12345 is the ID of the video). You can grab the embed code off the video details page, theres also code there to embed into websites

tomturd
Doh, sorry about that. The user assigned to your videos folder was wrong as it was created by the old uploader thing. I've changed it now, it should work.Anyone who used the old style uploader wouldn't have been able to upload any new files with this new uploader (until now)

manuel
Just playing around again - some of the thumnails dont display quite right - widescreen ones sometimes get an extra bit of thumnail added to the bottom to make them 4:3 ish - wasnt happening before ? seem to remember the thumbs being the same shape as the video not a standard size ? also ive noticed - it says there are over 100 mod vids and yet the only page you can see only has like 10 and no way of going to another page (same for stock) ? also the ones i do see dont look like mod vids to me - is that people just labeling them wrong (seems odd the number of mod compared to stock vids?) Edit - forgot also - if you go to a video then hover over the thumbnail - you get the hand up as if you can click it but if you do nada happens ... Edit Edit - if you actually download the files you get slightly dodgy filenames - not actually the names as they were uploaded ? sorry - just bored clicking around the forum. Theres about 50 different ways to do it, just haven't found one that works yet.I need to put the page numbers back on the category pages, I messed that up a while back but didn't realise. The mod vids are the ones I imported from the old video folder on TF, I just imported them all into the mod category, need to go through them and put them in the right places. Also if anyone owns any of those videos, PM me and I'll change them so they belong to you instead. When you click over a thumbnail on the main page, the video should load in the player (you have to press play though - need to sort this). When you click on the title it'll take you to the main page for that video.I'll sort out the filename problem, thats how they're stored on the server to keep the filenames unique. I'll add it to my to do list. In cardiff at the moment (but theres still people living in my house to any budding theives) so I'll sort it all out on monday.and no need to say sorry! keep the suggestions coming
Fixed Pantsâ„¢
soryr, im a little drunk but i dnt think it should be mod and stock categorys, its the same riding just on a differnt coloured bike (lol), its a bit as gay as the 'mod is better, mod for life' argument. i think street, nat and comp should be the categoies, cos thats actually a differnt thing to watch.
tomturd
You can add videos to up to 3 categories. So for example if you have a comp video with both mod and stock, you can add it to Mod Stock and Comp. Whats anyone elses opinion? I'll change it if people want it that way
Luke Rainbird
I think it's go better with categories for the different types of vid (street, natural etc...) than mod/stock/24", but perhaps with some way of each vid having a note or something stating if it were mod, stock, mixed or whatever. To be honest, I'm not really sure, as you may have gathered! RR_Trials
You could always do one of them search features and on the up-loader give a load of boxes that can be ticked (mod/stock/natural/street/promo/teaser)
tomturd
I dunno either...The categories aren't really categories to be honest. More like tags as you can add a video to more than 1. The plan is to make it similar to youtube (as they seem to have made it work pretty well ) in which case people don't really use categories (well I don't anyway). I think the size that the categories bit takes up isn't proportionate to how important it actually is.. hmm. Need to think about it.

I've taken off the little play symbol from the thumbnails on the same page. They still load the video in the same page if you click them though. The categories now display page numbers and I've tidied them up a bit.I've sorted through a few of the mod vids, but theres loads left. Don't have time at the moment!I've sorted out the filenames too when you download Keep em coming!
Luke Rainbird
Just spotted the one in the 2006 DJ ride thread - quality was excellent, far better that PooTubeGood stuff Is there any limit/quota for the amount of space each of us has, or just use whatever until it's full up and sort it then? (sorry) Although I am recording how much each user uploads, if for some unknown reason I need to limit it in the future. We have ~500gb to play with. Once thats full (thats a while off!) I can start deleting the source files for the older videos, but leave the FLVs, and free up much more space again.
