Tomm
Nope. I had Urban forks (probably 05/06 or something) and like Ali said, there's no way a Head Doctor will fit.

Dan6061
I've never broken a star nut. I can only see them breaking if you over-tighten it with the stem bolts done up, otherwise all it's doing is pulling the forks up to adjust the bearings. So it doesn't need to be tight at all? shovel
if you get a star-nut installed by your local bike shop witht he correct tool so it is straight and at the correct depth they are incredibly reliable, MUCH better than the hope head doctors, head doctors seem to be very awkwark to install, fitted a few to customers bikes and it is near on impossible to install without snagging the rubber o-ring that holds the parts together.....if you think about it, FSA used to make the "conix" but now ALL their headsets are supplied with star-nuts!really can't see how you can break a star-nut, unless it has been installed wrong or you overtighten the preload on your headset really badly! craigjames
really can't see how you can break a star-nut, unless it has been installed wrong or you overtighten the preload on your headset really badly!and if it is installed correctly and you do tighten it enough to rip it out youve probably wrecked the bearings in your headset!star fangled nuts are fine.think youve gotta use one for an inch steerer with most trials forks with thick steerers.
