Lawnmowerman
Street what? mtb, trials, jib? Mod, stock, 24"? Be more specific
Dan6061
Well why wouldn't it be?It's a brake made for trials. Mine's been pretty shitty though. Like the lever decided to eat itself around the lever bolt, and the TPA thread messed itself up too, so the bolt just spins about making no difference to the brake at all.Plus my good bleeds just seem to disapear after a few rides. Go to bleed it again and there's no liquid in it at all.
harrylumley
depends which street it is, no good for lanes or avenues!

adamantmatt
I think the denguras overall aren't very good, the tpa brakes and they can't be bled with water they ju st go all funny!

Nick Garland
Mines fine, I swear half the people who have used them dont know how to actually set up brakes properly.Mine is bled with with and until the other week was fine, then it went slightly sponey because it had somehow got air into it, rebleed its fine, none of this weird spinning around the bolt stuff of munching tpas. They are fine so long as you can actually look after bikes, simiarl to kings you need to service them. Mike Winton.
Mines a really good brake, they feel alot nicer than Maguras i think, no problems with it at all yet.
ChrisB
I've tried five or six different Echo Brakes ( aka Dengura ), and from my experience this is what I've come up with.Pros: Rear calipers are a little smaller so they give you more cranks clearance. The brakes are CNC so there a bit lighter, and look very nice.Lever blade is longer then the Magura hydraulic rim brake so they get more power.Cons:These brakes leak if you bleed them with water.TPA ( adjusting knob ) is hard to use because it's quite small. The brake has a squeshy feeling ( becouse of the longer lever blade giving it more leverage )Cheers! JT!
Street what? mtb, trials, jib? Mod, stock, 24"? Be more specificThis is trials forum, i think it's fair to say that he's talking about trials.I've never used them, but for the price you might aswell buy a magura and replace the lever to a deng one. gathsano
Exactly what i did and the ECHO lever blade makes the magura brake feel so much better. Just don't see the point in spending so much money on a brake when you can buy a magura for half the price.
Grant Hundley
A brake is a brake. You don't get a brake for natural and a brake for street.

Mike Winton.
The calipers are a lot better, I havn't caught my feet on mine at all yet and i did it a lot on my magura. They look much better than maguras too.I bought both of mine for about the price of a set of maggies anyhow !Mike. Mat Smith!
Well on my downhill bike my dengura is good on natural but not on street , and on my road bike my dengura doesnt seem to work very well in the wet, might be because of the pads or grind? .:\ oh dear.Matx
Mike Winton.
Stop being cocks about the fact he said "street" he clearly means street trials.
Ash-Trials
Stop being cocks about the fact he said "street" he clearly means street trials.? I'd never change from my maggies. I dont catch my feet on them, and the only thing i like on the denguras are the levers.

sholiver 11
yeh a use one mine is ok a guess. But u cann't realy beat a good hs33 if it has a good water bleed
Greetings
Put one on my bike a few days ago to give it a try and I think I'll keep it. It's quite impressive how nicely the brake works on oil, it's just as responsive as my old Maggie was on a water bleed. Can't judge it otherwise, haven't given it a proper ride yet.
