Mr Plod
Right well I cycle to work everyday and currently ride my dads ancient Specialized from back in the early 90's lol. Its pink and I get alot of stick at work for it...Basically I'm looking to maybe build or buy a new bike but I don't particularly want to spend over £400 on it. I'd ideally like it to be an XC style bike and have front and rear discs but I'd like it to maybe have roadie wheels and tyres. Front suspension is a must as the roads in London are notorious for being shit and full of pot holes so yeah...If you could maybe spec a bike up for me and post links to the parts or maybe even a full bike that you'd recommend suits my needs?Any help much appreciated.Cheers guys Edited November 17, 2007 by College Boy

minitrialer
Just give the website a read. It's up to your employer, but I don't see why not. At the bike shop I work/worked at we dealt with the scheme and it seems a great idea and saves you money! Speak to your employer. Look at brands like genesis/ridgeback some excellent bikes for exactly what you want.

I applied for the police at the start of this year and passed everything so I'm just waiting on a start date now so hopefully I'll be in the police by March next year so I don't think its a good idea me going on the cycle scheme as I could be leaving in a matter of months... Thanks anyways
