Concussion
I think having music played at the end of a funeral is really cheesy. They always play it through some crap stereo leaving everyone thinking `Oh dear`I'd prefare the dignity of live quire or something. Not that I like quire music, but it might score me some brownie points with God and I'm not gonna hear that shit anyway!

Dai the Socket
I told my parents that if I ever died before them like on my motorbike or in a car crash - whatever, I wanted the following songs played (it's actually written in my room with my Will just incase)I thought about this ages ago, just 'cos when my Gran died me and my parents had to kind of find some music as she didn't specify anything in her will. Although I absolutely love pendulum and stuff I don't know whether my parents would be best pleased.I picked:2 minutes silence withLudovico Einaudi - Monday - Divenire (which is like classical for reflectonnnnn)thenAthlete - Tourist - Tourist [Album] thenLinkin Park - Enth E Nd (Kutmasta Kurt ft. Motion Man) - Reanimationtheneveryone has to go get wasted

Max Quinn
Murs- A Friends Blues (It's the soundtrack to this video) Always just grabs my attention and makes me think. I think the words are quite fitting for a funeral too.Clint Mansell & Kronos Quartet- The Requim for a Dream Theme Tune (can be heard here) It's just soooo powerful. Awesome tune. James Quigley
Can I just say that this thread is a bit morbid.I'd rather not think about it to be honest, plus if I'm on my deathbed music would be the least of my worries.Pesimistic.....possibly. Caleb
in fairness it is a very morbid topic though, id have maybe some johnny cash as will suggested or Neil young or anything i liked really getting a very diverse taste in music so would get me mother to choose what ever seemed appropriate after all she's been around a good 20 years longer than me.Joy divison- atmosphere would be pretty decent, in fairness i actually think about my death a lot more than i should probablybthe only dignifying thing that will happen to me !maybe some sinatra for my grandad . . . Sneakers O'Toole
I reckon i'd go for Pink Floyd-Shine on You Crazy Diamond(1-9). It's a great track, kinda morbid music in places but hs some amazing guitar work in there and the lyrics are awesome. Suggest people give itt a listen. Youtube and such have the cut down live versions that are pretty good if anyone wants a listen.
Tomm
I'd rather not think about it to be honest, plus if I'm on my deathbed music would be the least of my worries. That's why you need to think about it NOW so when the time comes everyone will know what you want.Me? I'm too fickle, the best song in the world one day is rubbish the next when I'm in a different mood. For my funeral, I don't care what gets played, I won't be there. Something to cheer everyone else up I guess. Is there any song that contains the lyrics "no point crying over spilt milk"?
