Matthew_Gibson
I have been riding my bike lately and when ever I go to put it on the back wheel the front end feels as though is sort of "flinging" out. I havent checked the forks for any cracks. BUt i things its more the wheel. all the spokes are tight and in tension, bolts / QR are all nice and tight. Any of you people know what could be up?? AdamR28
I hope so! You guys put it in for me! Cool... It does bed in though, you will need to check the preload every once in a while. (By preload I mean the torque of the top cap bolt, nothing to do with the headset being pressed into the frame). Undo stem bolts, tweak top cap bolt, do stem bolts back up again. Or you cna check by locking the front brake and rocking the bike backwards and forwards.Ads
Greetings
Snapped steerer maybe? Deng forks have two tubes inside so even when the outer one cracks, the fork remains in one piece. Have a look at the steerer near the headset race and see if it's ok.

Bigman
Atomz?Yes, bloody good forks, but beware they do havea +30mm disc mount, if you want a standard ISO disc mount havea look at Viz forks, they are similar to atomz and are good forks.Adam

Matthew_Gibson
Check the forks over today, took the forks off, I looked atthe crownrace and there was like a crack there, took it off, nothing was just paint. Done what Adam said. and its still doing it. All i can now put it down to is the wheel build not being under enough tension. Will tighten and true the wheel when I have time. Thanks for the pointers guys!!!
