Tony Harrison
In the past I've used midi systems, etc, but now I don't need a CD player, etc. All my music is on my PC, and my only other sound-producing equipment is a DJ-ing mixer (for turntables). So, I run the PC through one side of the mixer on the line-in channel, and take the output to the midi system. But now I want a proper amplifier, to run some proper speakers. Spend perhaps £200 in total for both. Doesn't have to be amazing, or super-loud, just reasonably good build/sound quality. What would people recommend? I was thinking a base Cambridge Audio amp or something, but a mate said I might be better with a secondhand Technics amp, something solid and robust.Any opinions? Thanks.
