The Stig
r they good front and rear thanx mac1. Sort out your text language and you may get validated one day 2. it depends on what type of brake you prefer (on-off) i.e a maggie or a bit of modulation (disk). Also whether or not you frame/forks have disk mounts. EDIT: to answer your question yeah they work a treat just depends on what you prefer xDTom Edited November 11, 2007 by Boss

dandadude
I ride hydraulic rim brakes front and rear and love them (when they're behaving), there are a few things i would mention though;1. If either of your rims are bent the brake looses some of its sharpness as you have to componsate for side to side movement. In this case a disc may be a better option?! 2. As mentioned by Boss, the mounts on your frame and forks decide what you can run, if you have v brake mounts you will need evo mounts for magura rim brakes, visa versa if you only have a disc mount then theres no decision making to be done!3. last but not least if you go for rim brakes i would advise a grind atleast on the rear rim as this makes a MAHOOSIVE difference.Hope that helped.Dan
The Stig
2. As mentioned by Boss,to be honest i spoke shut lol he asked about hydraulics now disks haha but yeah i guess it helped some what

koxxtrials
Rear maguras are wicked but it all depends on the set up on the front i hate hs33's because1. they don't work properly when they are wet2. don't react very quick3. they always have problems (well mine does)

Mines on or off in an instant? isn't it the case for most brakes? 3. If you look after them and set them up good you won't have any problems at all. Ben John-Hynes
F+R maggies work amazinglyy well.i'd advise them 100%every time.a few problems are bound to occur but they always come back fighting!Ben
Ash-Kennard
2. don't react very quickwell with a good bleed, they will react as you pull the lever, where else would the oil go?
Ravemonkey
Maggies, in my opinion , are the best brakes you can use F+R.....front with smooth rim and citrus pads...and rear with a grind and rock blues....As said above they sometimes have a slow return, although a water bleed will solve this problem...
