MadManMike
Right well hopefully in a month or two my Insurance will pay out and I can look for a new bike (Pretty much given up trying to find the one that was stolen, more than likely been sent to another town now).I had a 24" wheeled DMR Trailstar, which was quite nice to ride with Wingbars (A bit of raise). I'm gonna probably go for 26" this time though as it was a little small for me (Being 6ft 2).So, I've been looking at the Base TA26 on Tarty's site (I think it was Tarty? £99 somewhere anyway). That frame seems a good allrounder. I was also thinking of Dirt Jam forks as the 07 models are going cheap now.Basically I'm hoping to get around £850-900 back to spend on the bike.I don't know if Insurance people will make me buy the same spec bike or whatever as I've never had to claim before. If they don't make me buy the same one, does my idea sound like a good choice, or can you recommend some really nice frames that aren't too expensive?I'd rather spend less on the frame and get decent wheels / hubs / brakes to be honest as I'm sick of skipping hubs and poor brakes I miss the DMR
Caleb
get a 24/7 frame and fork kit from ebay for £99, absolute steal !
*Tom*
A Base TA26 frame would be sweet as an all round streety trials bike, but i think dirtjams would be too long for the frame as im guessing its designed to run trials forks, running dirtjams would make the headtube angle really slack and mess up the way the bike rides.Tom. MadManMike
You after a full on street/park/dirt thing or something feaseable to ride trials on aswell?Well hopefully a bit of both, my DMR was alright for getting up small things like low benches and that so anything similar or better would be great I'll check out the 24/7 stuff on eBay.Keep the suggestions coming! MadManMike
I was thinking about it... it does look nice. I only got 26% in the gay test though so I'm not sure I'm allowed a pink bike.
