BIG Drew
Any of you noticed that the web orders can now be toggled to 'assembled'. We printed a form of and someone ordered it 18-11-07 and it was to be collected 18-11-07. We were already behind with building bikes for that day. I reckon it will cause hell coming up to Christmas. Also you don't have to put a deposit on so you could order 50 bikes to every store if you wanted

planet x alan
Haha, so the whole country went down? That was pretty annoying, always gets busy when things f**k up.the reality is, everything f**ks up when it gets busy, because it cant handle it.web orders also suck balls.... and why is it that all customers think for some strange reason we keep every bike out back built up? also i had this toss pot coming in today trying to get a refund on his bike, because the front tyre hadnt been bedded into the rim properly so was bobbing up and down about 2mm ..... he hadnt even inflated it and he thought he knew what he was on about!some people need shooting! JonCongreve
Saturday just had to be really busy when the system decided to crash. Firstly we couldn't use article locate, then the odd credit cards wouldn't go through the till. I took a bike down and had to ring up some no. the manager gave me to get manual authorisation for the card transaction. Took about 10 mins. Then nothing worked, and other local stores went down, then we heard every store on evolve (about half) is down Last night was fun. Me and my friend were on a late with another guy, and as it was raining quite hard there were hardly any customers in the whole evening. Started with me working upstairs on a bike, and heard a nerf ball being thrown from downstairs. Then i went into the cupboard for our stock of tennis balls. Was a right laugh. Got hit in the head pretty bad though, but managed to get the guy later on. Made sure we faced up that night

Fixed Pantsâ„¢
Anyone know about trade discounts n stuff through halfords? I haven't worked there 6 months yet but i'm wondering if i can get one of the nitro RC cars they sell (HPI Savage specifically) on trade as i'm hoping it'll be a lot cheaper. Fixed Pantsâ„¢
That's gay, 100% sure? Would a non strict manager be nice and let me do it? Why no?
BIG Drew
You will just get the 15% discount.
Synergy
trade = car maintenance only
Fixed Pantsâ„¢
trade = car maintenance onlyIt's a car .That's a bit gay, hopefully the 15% discount will bring it down lower than internet prices (free postage from the internet too, 15% better go far)
RobinJI
trade = car maintenance onlyYep, basicaly anything parts deal with, everything else is just the normal 15%, which you get after 3 months working at halfords, and before then there should be a special store manager card for using in cases where staff dont have their card with them/yet. RobinJI
Nah, you want one of the oldschool long sleeve bikehut shirts, with the orange back and stripes down the sleves. Way better, that way people know you're from bikehut and dont constantly ask about wiperblades
RR_Trials
nah loads of people at my store have them, i specifically wont the plain black one and im willing to buy one for a reasonable price
BIG Drew
I've just got one of the toss standard ones that makes you sweat like a nob and gives you static shocks of anything metal. Made 25 quid in incentives today. It is good they give you cash again New system is still wank though
