Jason222
We got a set of blue 06 deng rims, and they're both front rims. We plan to use it as a rear (he's just starting so he probably won't kill it too quickly) and I'm wondering if lacing it 4X would make it any stronger than 3X? Lawnmowerman
Yes it will. You'll need spokes about 10mm longer though.
Jason222
Yeah, I'm not worried about spoke lengths, we'll be getting it done professionally anyway.
Lawnmowerman
You should try doing it yourself, it's really easy. Check out Onzaboymarks wheel building guide. I can sort you out spoke lenghts too.
Jason222
I work at a bike shop, so I COULD do it myself, but I'd rather the head wheelbuilding guy do it for me real quick and cheap. haha. I still true all my own wheels, but he just does such a good job lacing them...
