basher
Well crimbo is coming up and im thinking of a new frame. Looking at the pure and seeign as few people have them on here as i seen a few in bike pics i was wondering how are peoples views on them. I like the geo of them i should think it will suit me to the ground what im wanting to know is are they flexy any bad points about them ect the general stuff not how they ride. Ali if you could give us a reply on how you found yours that would be good as ino you wernt to fond. If your review isnt good any surgestions on a frame similar geo as i might have over looked or missed some surgestions. Looking for around 1075/1085, 380/385, 10-30 bb and dont want anything with a really long reach such as limey.thanks andrew
The Duck
I'm sure rwiley will be here like a shot tomorrow...Hes got an '07 pure short and loves it. Having ridden it, I can see why. Hasn't had any problems at all. Been running a booster most of the time, but recently he was running a vee (avid ultimate) and there was hardly any flex at all, so you would need a booster really either...Hes had no problems with it at all as far as I know... He bought it off me too
abtrials
yea i am sure going to give my 2 pennys worth.i really like the frame, its not flexy at all its really quite stiff, like quakers said i do run a booster, it was needed with the magura 2 bolt booster works a treat, but i could have got away with out one when usign a v, i still chose to use a booster as it stiffens it up that little bit more.i love it and i would recomend it to anyone, similar frames are czar 07, ozonoys?, simtra all the above are simmilar but a small deg difference can make a lot of difference.also quakers has a czar and they are not really stiffer that i can notice anyway?GO GET A PURE
Ali C
I noticed my czar to be noticably stiffer, but we also built an echo at work for a customer and had a blast on that and it felt pretty stiff. The main thing that put me off was the bottom bracket hight, its just over my limit and I couldnt get used to it in the short time I used it. Scotty Evil1
Ive just got an echo pure long myself ( see bike pics thread) and im very impressed with it.Its nice and easy to ride, and also very good on the backwheel.Gapping to front on it is amazing, its so good infact, im thinking of just doing them 24/7!I went from a k-sas ( 1080,+40) and have adapted well ot it, even though theres not that much differents really( pure's 1090 +35).The only downside i have found so far is it flexes quite a bit, and thats with a booster.i strongly recomend one!Scott
