Making Own Pads?

Doubt mike or ali will tell you where they get theres from but its local to ali, pm them though and im sure they will tell you the technical name of the material and google that and you should be able to find loads of companies, your best off asking ali i should think, also im sure he'll give you a idea of what grade compound to be around like whats the hardest to go and whats the softest or if he won't when you order from tarty next ask adam he will known i should think. The problem is then that most companies will have a minimum order of about 50quid. So you may have to talk to them and do a deal may be where they do you test batchs and when you find a good compound you buy a bulk of it and then you can sell it on or use it all yourself. Its pritty much trial and error as to if you get a good material as so many variables are involved and can be changed. rimjam will sell you backings i believe think the lads behind rimjam is called wally on here or sumert like that.

Well to be honest for awhile now i have been interested in making my own pad and i have found a dealer that is willing to deal with me.

The compound is autothane.

It is used in formula 1 cars suspensions.

But with the right heat treatment and certain something added it can be used as a brake.

It is designed to work in desert heat and arctic coldness.

But yeah polyurethanes was recommened to me by the buisness im dealing with.

I proberly wasnt a great help but hey.
