Captain Scarlet
Well in the attempts to remove my Eno from my Monty cranks, it is still stuck on the cranks and is in bad condition. (The bike shop clamped it in a vice and mashed the parts that house the pawls so now they hardly spring at all).I think its probably better just to buy a new freewheel, I am interested in a Try-All freewheel, I have used to search but found various opinions on them, but mainly other freewheels. So, I don't want anyone recommending me another kind of freewheel, to the owners or previous owners of the Try-All freewheel, What do you think of it, good or bad?Can this freewheel be serviced/checked/maintained to some extent to eliminate skipping or other problems?Does the lockring always come loose? If the freewheel does turn out bad, is there any kind of warranty on it?So I'm looking at people with previous experiences in this freewheel, good and bad points. Thanks, Tom

The Duck
Watch till the end of the video, sort of put me off getting one. Yeah...Everyone else seems to have had really bad experience with them... I was running one for the best part of 6 months and it was mint. Didn't budge at all. (Like taking the lockring off, then the outer teeth in the same way as an eno?)

jsy trials matt
if anythig i would go for the tensile as they have a good warrenty so if you do it in quickly you can have a fresh new one, i think ( not too sure ) that you can get some parts for them ? powerz
Tom mate, you should have listend to me and got a tensile, which are allot more reliable, value for money, easyer acess to the lockring and very easy to service. But anyways good luck with it lol Edited November 7, 2007 by powerz
Spina-Pazza
hi guys...i try many type of freewheels (tensile, White ind, try-all, ACS, monty). The best ramain the White industries...but is too large and weight.i work two week on try-all ferewhell, the main problem of that freewheel is the spring. when the load is too high the spring jump out from his home, and you lost one of the nine pawls. but there are a solution. you must Disassemble all the freewheel, degrease and rebuild whitout grease (use only teflon spray grease on pawl and a little of teflon grease like are used in the headset on the ball). the solution is put a little piece of steel in the home the spring. (Obviously first put the spring in his home...)the piece of steel (for exemple a spoke with 2.5mm diameter or other...but with a correct diameter. not to large otherwise don't enter, not too little otherwise the spring jump out) Need to keep locked the spring in his home. then when there are a big load and the spring normally jump out and lost one pawl, he don't jump out. i try this method on one freewheel, after this a try-all freewheel normally have a lifetime of 1 month, or more...(i see try-all freewheel broked after 1 week...), now this experimental freewheel i don't lost any pawl, he work very well after 2 month.now i know that try-all changed the freewheel. the close cup are welded...you can't disassemble, you must broke it o remove the weld.P. i know...my english it's a shit...BYE!!!
