N Roach
hey,Since putting anti-freeze into my magura, It has become very sluggish on the lever. I am thinking to just have a plain water bleed as I had no problems before. I have tried using a pump to clear out the internals of the brake but still sluggish. Anyone had this problem before and managed to sort it? Or any good tricks to free up the pistons? Greece, GT85 etc.Nathan Edited November 2, 2007 by chocolate_bikes
James Quigley
3-in-1 Scilicon Lubricant (like wd40 I guess)Just pull out the piston with some pliers and squirt some around it.

James Quigley
Clean the cylinders then squirt, it'll be fine.As for the lever I take the hose and grub screw out, poke the piston out of the lever body with a spoke (through the hole where the grub screw was) clean everything with water and a lot of kitchen towel. Then stretch the old spring, douse the 'plunger'/piston and lever in lubricant replace spring and poke in plunger. Reassemble lever with hose and blade then bleed. That's what I do anyway.Oh and I dont use anti-freeze with my water bleed (never really gets cold enough to freeze down here).

T.McMillan
the antifreeze shouldnt foam up like "padarik" said you will need air in it to make it froth or bubble

Jason222
Sounds kinda like you've got air in the system.
