blaze_
I have a question. How do you open up the slave cylinders of a Magura or Echo rim brake in case they are leaking because of bad sealing so that I could change it? If anyone has an idea please tell me it's urgent Thanks in advance
Rusevelt
if they leak from the slave cylinders, then its pretty much terminal. though the chances of that happening are very very remote.
blaze_
Well there has to be a way of disassembling them...come on people you are the smart guys
liam-pantera
There is know way of disasembling the break , the only way to clean them is with wd40 internaly and externaly .
Jason222
A bunch of the firts Gen echo brakes had leaky cylinders. One of mine did. You get a 1 year warrenty from them if that happens, they replace the brake for free.
Will Arnold
i think yo can get magura cylinders out by blowing air through the cylinder, not 100% on this though! and heck knows how you get thm back in!
T.McMillan
i got my cyclinder threads drilled to a different size to accomodate some braided hosing once, and the engineer had a go at taking one out so he could clean the swarf out, he said he went and put it on a compresser to try and pop the piston out but that didnt work, so if he couldnt do it, i dont know how to, its one of those things that you want to see be made at the factory on blue peter or something haha
blaze_
Yeah that's what I was going to do, try to blow it out with a compressor.....well there has to be a way if you can assemble them you have to be able to disassemble them, that's my logical thinking
