PaRtZ
When I win (because lets face it, its about time I had some good luck come my way ) I don't know whether to get a stock or another mod. Now as flippant as this topic seems im actually serious because I know when the time comes to go see them I won't know what to get. So no stock bummers say get stock cos they're cool, and vice versa. I love mod and find stock a bit awkward although granted I've never given it a proper "go".What you guys reckon?
Jsy Ben
Reasonably high bb stock ?
ManxTrialSpaz
Just get a bike completely opposite to what you have now? If I win (very unlikely but the fingers are still crossed ), I wouldn't want to get a high-spec mod because I already have a mod which I've built up and am mostly comfortable with. If I do win, I'll be hittign a streety stock. Obviously with a lot of help from the Tarty team as I wouldn't have the faintest clue about how to do this. Greetings
Reasonably high bb stock ?Fairly good idea, they do feel like a blend of a stock and mod.But you're not going to win.

Matthew_Gibson
YOU wont WIN! Well if i win im going to get the most expensive things probably!DICK! whats the point in that? I'd rather have a bike that functions correct that one that I can brag about how much it costs. It rather have Hope XC rear hubs than Chris King. But thats just me. and whats the point in having a Hugely over priced bike? more likely to get nicked, be greatful that there are doing this. arse

I guess you run FSA Powerpros instead of Middleburns and you ride a DDG Shooter because "it's all you need", right?
Muel
I would get a Kot MS2, with a Rear Disc, Pro2 Trial Hubs. And an FSA Equipe Headset. I would also try my hardest to get some 203mm Mono Trials, on 06 Levers. Because I prefer them.I know you can get better bits, but my mate has a King, and it feels a bit weedy to me, and I want a freehub that feels as beasty as my Tensile. I know you can get headsets that cost more money, but the FSA is the one I have now, and it's f**king amazing. Feels really smooth and light to turn, yet sturdy.I would also have Monty 231TI Cranks. Because I like them.I have now bought 2 pairs, I'll buy another next time I order.
Greetings
I guess you run FSA Powerpros instead of Middleburns and you ride a DDG Shooter because "it's all you need", right?Exactly. And when you manage to sidehop 5cm higher and get better at taps, you need to change your cranks and frame to adapt them to your new level of riding. That's how things are done Tomm, you're too old to understand

JonMack
I'm still wondering how a King can feel "weedy". I guess I'm used to it because I've had them on both my bikes in the past.
liam-pantera
if i won id be happy my bikes havnt been goin well recently and my frames just rounded of at the break mounts so i wont be riding anytime soon , i just think that this was a great idea on the tarts part . jandamna
me win = really expensive stock = sell for downhill bike = sortedlol, but if i did win, id obviously go all out on the parts i know wouldnt break so that i wouldnt really EVER have to upgrade again, well until next years stuff comes out anyway
Tomm
I kind of know what you mean about Kings feeling 'weedy'. But I reckon it's because they engage so fast compared to, say, a Hope. With a Hope you can kick on the pedals and you get a bit of movement in the freehub before it engages, followed by a nice solid clunk and the hub engages fine. With Kings they engage a lot quicker so you don't get that positive engagement feeling.
Janson
I think the sound of the hub makes a huge difference in "feel" aswell. King hubs sound kinda plastic-y when lubed or greased, while ratchet/pawl type hubs sound a lot more metallic and harsh...
Captain Scarlet
I keep on thinking the same thing, then I imagine myself riding this dream bike, then I completely miss the point and realise that theres a very unlikely chance of me winning. My mod is where my money goes at the moment, its fairly decentish spec, so why get another, its the perfect chance to start another bike that is completely different to what you already have.
