As suggested by photo peeps last time, I took the contrast and saturation down, turned the flash down, moved it further away from the rider and bumped the ISO... any further comments/suggestions welcome!

Cheers

You got them sharp now then..

What was you doing wrong before? wrong focus point or something? lol

These are all with manual focus... The auto focus just refuses to work with either lens :( Hopefully it will in daylight...

Thanks for the comments :)

Nice pics Ad, getting better and better. :) Maybe try resizing the images all to something like 640 wide/640 high. Saves having to click a resized one, and means the portrait ones can be seen in full. They'll also appear a bit sharper. (Y)

Nice pikey audience with the dog.

Also try using the fastest shutter you can with your flash to stop bits going see through like the back tire in the last pic

Lol, yeah, the dog was quite a good trials dog actually :)

Yeah, I usually do that, the last half of the pics were taken by Stan... although the effect works quite well sometimes I reckon :)

Rowan: Wodge = opposite of wedge, batmannage comes from batman = where you hang on the forks (like a bat) then lunge to back wheel :P

Just to point out, I wouldn't use the fastest shutter speed possible shooting shots at night like that, usually prefer a slower speed to allow for a bit more ambient light in. :) Like pretty much everything with photography, it's a compromise!

Compromise indeed...!

On a similar note, any ideas how I can get the exif data included on the pic when I've compressed it Mike (noticed yours include it)? I'm using Ctrl + Shift + Alt + S to save as jpeg when exporting from photobadger 7.0 (old version, yeah) if that's of any help... Cheers.
