Steve Tiller
When I got my Zona Zip frame new about 5 months ago i bought a second hand echo external headset and when in the frame it creeked so thought it was the bearings so replaced them with new ones. However the creek still remains. I spoke to another Zip rider and he had a echo headset and he had the same problem. Was just wondering what the problem could be and how to fix it?And if any other Zip riders have experienced the same thing?Steve
Lawnmowerman
Take it out, grease the frame and cups and but it back in. Make sure your crown etc is on properly too and greased.

Fixed Pantsâ„¢
Echo headsets tend to creak quite badly.

Ryan.
Maybe a bit of a flared headtube? Meaning it isn't in level?yeh thats what i'm thinking, but i've been ridding a zip for about 3 weeks and found that mines stated to creak! best bet is to take it all out, clean it all up making sure theres no grit etc.check your headset for stress marks or cracks? mine snapped!!buy a king or summit betteryeh easier said than dione though isn't it!! NileBrownâ„¢
I reckon its a flared headtube mate. Thats exactly what happened to my Zip, On further inspection I found a small crack where the headtube seemed too small for the echo headset - it was fine with a pig headset and started creaking when I bought the echo headset... have a look at your headtube
Jason222
Is the frame meant for an internal headset maybe?
