pietro
I got my new Onza T raptor couple of days ago and I've been practicing a few basic moves. My bike has 8 rear gears and I can almost hop/rock/pedal kick on all gears. However since I'm completely inefficient (I've got lactic acid inside every muscle of my body!), I seem to burn an amazing amount of energy on whatever rear gear (cog) I'm using. As a consequence it is difficult for me to tell which rear cog to use. As a beginner should I be using the largest cog or something in between the largetst and smallest?ThanksCiao
Lawnmowerman
The majority of stock riders use an 18t rear cog.
Ash-Kennard
from the biggest cog, put it on the third down, should be about right

Ben Davies
something like a 22tooth front with an 18 or 19 on the back is generally quite good...
