The Late Night Thread.

Ah right. I'll give that a try, a lot of people I know say they only get 3 - 4 hours sleep and are fine. I think it will depend a lot on diet, I eat a lot of fast-food and not many fruits and vegtables... what are your diets like?

Largely coffee and cereal based.

I'm in for a treat when school starts today... I've been talking to some girl on MSN who lives like 3 miles away, she does nothing in life and so is up all night usually. She wants me to meet her at half 5 and go on a random walk - hmmm. I'm up for it though, it's a female!

Going to have no sleep if I do that though which won't rub off to well at school I don't think.

What time do you all have to be up anyway? What work/education do you all go too as well?

I finished uni on the 23rd May, and I've saved up enough money so I don't need to work over summer, meaning I have almost literally no commitments until the 17th-ish of September.

As a result, this mo'f**ker's going freestyle.

I'm thinking about going to uni and I know it'll vary a lot depending on what course you do (or at least I would have thought so) but what's the work like? As in, how much is exam type work or coursework?

Also, what were peoples A-level results like that go to uni? If that's what you did?... I know it all works via a UCAS point system or something?

I got ABCD (;)) at A-level, in Industrial Design and Technology, Art, Music and Philosophy respectively. Totalled up to 360 UCAS points.

Our course was 100% coursework based for the first year, then 88% coursework/12% exam based for the second year (We only had one exam, but that was 1 of the 8 modules we had to do or something like that). However, 'cos of the way it works out, they just atke out 5 highest marks for our modules from our second and third year, then add on our dissertation and major project mark, and that's how we get our overall degree mark. Pretty ideal.

Anyways, my degree's pretty straightforward (3-year BA(Hons) Digital Photography), but others are going to be different, obviously.

What I will say though is that uni life is f**king awesome. It's a great chance to move out of home and go somewhere new, your first year will be rad even if you have shit points (Like I did), and it's just... well... pretty tops. :P

I'm also set to be invisible on here, so I'm usually the 'Anonymous Member' you'll see on the home page. Stealth ;)

Ah right. Well I'm doing Business, Economics and BTEC ICT atm in 6th form, I reckon I could get a distinction in ICT, as it's all coursework based and pretty easy, and there's some UCAS points there. But yeah, I've been told uni is good, and I want to get away from home for a bit, I'm kinda sick of it to be honest, I quite fancy something new.
