Jason222
alright...I was manualing around tonight when my rear brake hose decided to go and snap on me. I fell on my ass because of it So I was wondering...how easy is this to fix? I've got a lot of extra line with the brake, because I never shortened it when I got it. So I was thinking about maybe cutting off the broken end, putting it back on the cylinder, and topping it up? I don't know how to go about doing that, so could someone help me out here? Ash-Kennard
you will need to buy and olive, basically, cut down, past the hole, slip olive on the end, whack it back in the threads, bleed it.jobs done
liam-pantera
The echo brake doesnt use olives , u need a set of hose clamps witch are sold on tartybikes . When u have the clamps all u do is expose a small amount of hose through the clamps and hammer the silver threaded barb fitting into it job done then bleed it . liam-pantera
Here is the link although u can make you own , brake clampsto make your own simply drill a 5 mm hole in a block of wood and saw the block in half .and to answer your question , it takes a few water bleeds to get rid off the prebled oil but after that its all good just rember to bleed from the lever down . Egg Fried Rice
when i snapped mine i:1) clean cut the end off 2) took the barb fitting off the brake itself3) put the hose in a vice, leaving about 1 and a half CM out the tip of the vice. Do not over tighten though.4) Then tap the barb fitting into the end of the hose.job doneeeJK

Jason222
Not only would shipping a cheap little item like that from tarty take a long time, it would also be very expensive. Shipping overseas is just too expensive. I could probably get the same thing from hbtrials.com for half the cost, and it would take 1-2 days to get here.
