Siders77
Tarty comes with a Heavy Duty axle I think?
poopipe
tarty will be charging the normal price, trials-uk will be charging a massively discounted price due to shady import dealings (no offence Dan) . I believe (this is not a fact) that you're less likely to get the full warranty when things are bought via the shady import method

AdamR28
I believe Dan has his price at £245 in an attempt to undercut our previous price of £249. The heavily discounted price we used to have the hubs at was due to a bulk buy deal from the UK importers who were clearing out incorrectly ordered stock. The RRP of a Chris King SingleSpeed rear hub is £341.99, the only way I can think of a retailer selling them at £245 would be to grey import from the USA.http://www.aspirevelotech.com/Merchant2/me...gory_Code=RCL32330.00 US dollars = 161.26 British pounds sterling That is a Chris King Classic hub, very different to the SingleSpeed. James Quigley
The single speed hub isn't the bmx hub. It's a normal 135mm spacing but with a smaller 'freewheel' (i.e. you cant fit a full cassette on it).
abtrials
i personaly think tartys stuff is reasonably priced apart from a few things namedly pro 2 replacment axel bolts £15 and the fsa 0c 170 stem £23 that i have noticed so far.but that is only because they are so cheep at crc £4 for the bolts and £14 for the stem with free postage.my advice if you can get it cheeper somwhere else get it there, just remember you pay a bit extra for tartybike's emaculate customer service Edited October 24, 2007 by rwiley

Maybe the CRC ones don't include the washers? I understand the picture shows this but the description does not mention it. It may also be the case that they have a few kicking about and wish to 'get rid' of them as soon as possible.I have no idea why CRC are selling the OS-170 stem at less than trade price, my guess is that they are stopping selling that item - they only list 110mm on the site. I have just checked a few other retailers and have now adjusted the price of this item on our site.Regarding Chris King items - it has been known for a while that you can grey import items from the USA for less, however the correct import channels always pay import taxes and VAT, this is what leads to seemingly 'rip off' prices from official UK dealers.ThanksAdam

There exactly the same as my old ones (which came with hub).Edit: Tartys service is fantastic to say the least though, and most of the prices are good. Its a brilliant business. max-t
If you want a cheap King hub then get it from Aspire as conor said. BUT, beware if you break it and need to send it back. You will be waiting months for it to return. Max.. Edited October 24, 2007 by max-t
