modman
Make sure that pads are completely flat against the rim.Cable should glide freely and not feel grindy with dirt.Make sure cable is the right length.Try and put as little tension in the calipers as possible so you dont have to pull as hard.Try different reach positions to get best out of your hand.Make sure both rim and pads are clean.Brake booster??Grind?Just a few pointers that might help
basher
I run sd7 lever and arms and its a great brake, also use a outland booster with coust heatsink pads. Your lever and cable can make a big difference. Buy a new cable lube it up if you have a shit lever get a sd7 one id say everyone seems to be happy with them and recomending them nowadays. I would proberly get some new arms sd7s i would say. obviously the best set up would be avid ultimates lever and arms. Give your rim a fresh harsh grind. Set pads up square lube cable and use as little cable adjuster as possible at the lever it creates sponge using that. If need be use a booster my cheap outland one does me fine. And your brake should be mint
