loser Posted October 27, 2007 Report Share Posted October 27, 2007 as long as you tune it correctly anything will be suficciant personaly i managed wiht some avid sd3's for a long time before upgrading down grading 2 hs33svee's rock. end of.more hold, easier to set up, lighter to pull the lever, more reliable.why would you want magura's? the hoses snap easy, so you have to get braided hose.harder to set pads up straight, because there is two bolts to hold the cylinder. i always found mine moved slightly and the pads wore wonky.magura's have less hold. get some an avid sd7 with sd7 lever with plazmatic crv's on a smoooth rim damon watson use's pretty much the same set up (i think he uses sd5 arms?) and his brake is stupidly powerful.
