chrisbikefix
silly question for people who ride street .. do you run a high rise handle bar? i have a mid 1.5" rise easton bar, but mr clem craig (CLOCKWORK) says i need a high rise, is this true? cheers
Davetrials
its down to personal preferance, i prefer something around 2", as i think it makes the bike feel more erm throw aroudable, and obviosly the higher the rise the bar the bar height, means the front end comes up easier. d_c
I used to ride monty riser bars. But i decided to change and got a pair of Zoo! bars, and i just couldn't get used to it!I eventually ended up gettin the old Zoo! bars, (more rise) And They felt really good! So, Just give higher rise bars a try, but dont get rid of your old ones, as you may not like it!Danny! Alex Dark
surely you could change the stem and get the same effect?
jambo
There are quite a few factors to think of, If you have a long fork like a pace trial fork a high rise bar of 2-2.5" might be a bit to high and if you have a stem with a whole load of rise it will just be ridiculous. What bike do you ride and what stem have you got? Edited October 19, 2007 by jambo
