26inch
why do you want your pads to be noisy? aslong as they bite and hold well thats all that matters Edited October 17, 2007 by 26inch
gr8grumble
They dont hold, and they dont bite!
Fixed Pants™
Flip the pads over? Grind with the grinder pointing towards the back of the bike slightly?EDIT: Deffo grind again, probably best to keep it exactly upright or it won't hold going backwards. steve@banbury-trials
if you grind clockwise on both sides of the rim then you'll get hold and bite whilst going forward aswell as backwards hope this helps, steve

Muel
Take the rim off and turn it round and turn the pads round.
Janson
the whole difference between "backwards" and "forwards" grinds is bullshit. it's an angle grinder, not rocket science.
JonMack
Take the rim off and turn it round and turn the pads round.Probably a lot easier to regrind than dismantle the wheel and rebuild it.

Greetings
This usually happens when the pads are not parallel to the rim. Also, try cleaning the rim and pads with nitro thinner.
