hey guys. im looking at the adament a1 frames but i need help on whats the (best/strongest) 116m or 135m ive found both and 116 in short an 135 in a choice of short or long? if you guys can give us some information on thses and what you've found the best that you've used id be very gratful cheers
ilikeriding
Firstly the 116 and the 135 will feel exactly the same if they are the same length (long or short)Ive got the long 135, rides mint, I cant really fault it, apart from maybe a bigger tyre clearance would be nice (still get a 2.5 in if the wheels true). If youre small the shorter one would be easier to chuck around, if your tall its just preference reallyTheyre both the same strength wise, but with the 116 you wont have a wide choice of freehubs, and having snail cams on horizontal dropouts doesnt seem to work for my mate, gives shit tension. Whereas the 135 means you can run a modified tensioner or just a mech hanger and tenisoner. Edited October 12, 2007 by afroman
max-t
Get the 135mm one. Alot easier because of the availability of hubs and simpler to use.
