Danny Kearns
I had the exact same problem. In the end I had to re-build my wheel. It seemed that the wheel build wasn't good enough.I tried everything though:Changing the axle.New wheel boltsTensioning the buildDifferent camsI couldn't think of nothing else apart from re-building the wheel. In the end it worked. rider_01
hmm but the axle seems to be just over hanging the frame soo there isnt a lot of grip on the wheel nuts could it be spacing ?
Danny Kearns
You are saying the axle sticks out of the frame where it goes through your drop outs ? So it's to far through so that when you tighten the bolts there not griping to well on the frame base ?If so. The axle length is incorrect or it's your spacing.Ideally:What frame you using ?Hub ?Axle ?etc ?
rider_01
echo hub zona zip frame and standered echo axle 116mm
Danny Kearns
Im very supprised you've even managed to get the echo hub with the cams on into your zona zip frame. When i had my zona. My echo hub wouldn't fit into the frame. It was a really tight fit. I got it in, bit i littereally had to force it in with loads of pressure.I think it's your spacing. Danny Kearns
yeh mine is really stiff to get in so if i put the cams on the insiude and put maybe a spcer or 2 should work ?Try the spacers. The cams on the outside really wont make alot of difference. Maybe buy some thinner cams ? I think the monty ones a thinner. To save money. Just whack some spacers untill the spacing is equal against the frame on both sides of the hub.Any problems give me a shout in this topic or via PM. NVWOCI WVS
maybe your frame is bent and your old wheel was dished to compensate for this? the new wheel may be dished centrally and therefore when the hub is in the dropouts square the rim is not central between the brake mounts if you see what i mean?
