*PHIL*
OK, first off, I was going to post this in chit-chat but thought it's probably more trials chat related really... I'd also put it as WTD in the classifieds but I'm not going to be buying one right away, just want some info. So, I'm looking for a Street/Dirt bike, mostly street/skatepark stuff.Basically I want;SinglespeedHardtailDecentish ForksPref some kind of disc brakes, but not arsed really.Something like the DMR Sidekick, but £400 is my limit.http://www.dalescycles.com/ProductDetails....tCode=GNTSTP107This looks ok, but anyone know if its any good? Also I'd have to convert to singlespeed, so is that worth doing or would I be better off buying a singlespeed first off?Anyone know of anything suitable or you think I should be looking at more second hand stuff? (if so where to look?).ThanksPHIL
Tomm
I never like the look of fully-specced bikes. Much better when they're built up by someone. So I say 2nd hand all the way. What about this one?http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....howtopic=106747
Lawnmowerman
What about a DMR transition? StandardUpgradedSo far it's cost me about £700 but the 2008 one comes with better components.
Tomm
I was gonna say the DMR full builds look OK.
*PHIL*
Yeah Transition is nice, but bit expensive + no front suspention.I just found Specialized P1's. Anyone had much experience with them as I reckon thats what I wanna go for. Also, know where i can get some bright orange rims?

*PHIL*
licenceExplain?
RobinJI
The specialised P1 is a beast of a bike, awesomely speced for the money, and an absolutly bomb proof frame that rides georgously. Very much worth considering.Other option is the GT rauckus UF, ok its fork is a downside, but the bike in genral ides amazingly, looks the nuts, is pretty solid, and won the MBUK group test for DJ bikes in its price range.Worth a look anyway, but yeah, the P1 is awesome. Tomm
Explain? He means the as-yet-unreleased Ashton License frame (http://www.ashtonbikes.com/). But it's not really a DJ frame, it's more trials.
Tommy d
I've got a P2, so won't be exactly the same as P1, I find it alright but the front end is really really heavy, so it's better for dirt than street...My advice would be spend 300 on a second hand bike and use the 100 left to make it exactly how you want/fix anything wrong with it. Should get a better bike that way.
