basher
Im guessing most people won't have noticed this but thought people might like to read it. Good luck to you dave, hope to see you out about blackburn riding still though.edit: oops .... http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/blog.php Edited October 8, 2007 by basher
Simon
I tell you what i'd love to know, their turn over and what Adam, Stan and Ali take home, as in, is it full blown business now paying proper wages and earning good money or is still in early garage stages where each of them still need other jobs to keep going? Its really nosy so i wont ask, and i probably wouldn't get told but it really is amazing how far they've come in a relatively short period of time.Best of luck Dave. But like you said would be nice to no but slightly nosey
Inspired Dave
If I was still at Tarty Bikes I'd write another blog thanking everyone for all their support and kind words. But then I guess if I was still there I wouldn't have had the kind words etc, vicious circle! hahaNeedless to say, it feels bloody wierd not being 'Tarty Dave' anymore. Every time I say that to someone it makes my heart sink a little, and question whether I have done the right thing. But sometimes things come along that just cannot be turned down, even if they are a bit risky! heheThanks again everyone, it's been a privilege to meet so many great people just because we happened to start selling trials parts to fellow riders .I think the blog says it all really, didn't have to edit it or think about it, wrote what I felt at the time and it sums things up perfectly.(One last time.... (with a tear in my eye and lump in my throat))Tarty Dave .

Doesnt that make you sad? Get a life!!!You really are a grumpy Scouse arse aren't you?Back on topic, sad news to hear you're leaving TB, Dave but the company is as strong as it's ever been from what I can tell and fantastic oportunities simply don't come around every day. Grab it with both hands and run with it. Good luck with the new venture fella!!Dave
Muel
I dont know why people are that bothered. People are dying, starving and kids being raped as we speak. Doesnt that make you sad? Get a life!!!How can you possibly compare Dave's leaving to third world problem's? Tarty Bikes won't be the same without you Dave, you and Adam have done so much for trials these last couple of years, getting new brands imported and stuff. I also think that your having such a big online presence has helped push the envelope in modern frame and component designs, people can now build a bike with the perfect geo to fit them due to the leeps and bounds that trials has experienced in the last 4-5 years.I hope that in future, all frames will be available with a rear disc mount, especially the deng frames, because the new Czars have had such a big success. I have never riden one, but they must be good for you and Adam to both have them.I've completely gone off topic here. Good luck in everything you do Dave, I suppose you'll turn up again in years to come doing some other Trials orientated adventure.EDIT: I only ever spoke to you once Dave, on the phone on Friday, (I think), but you were so helpful. Keep coming on here from time to time and let us know how your getting on. Edited October 9, 2007 by El Muelio
Luke Rainbird
Was surprised when I saw that lot I must sayBest of luck with whichever route you end up going down, Dave, and thanks for your (considerably massive) contribution to the sportPeace out

scousertrials
How can you possibly compare Dave's leaving to third world problem's?Who said this happens in third world problems? I was thinking more close to home. What I'm suggesting is that, even though Dave is leaving TartyBikes, Its his decision. It's what he wanted to do and not a sacking or an act not under his control. Personaly I don't mix the cheap sentiment of fake emotion with TartyBike, even though they always have my business.I leave that for Mariah carey.Give Dave a break. Let him keep his dignity. Dont go lighting candles in your local church for him.
Simon
?What the f**k. I can't even begin to comprehend how you are actually believing in the replies you are writing, as they are so, so stupid.

AdamR28
You can if you like but you'll be in the wrong place To answer Simon's question, we're past the 'garage/bedroom' stage now in a 2200 sqft unit (you may have seen the pics from our recent move?) and are fortunate enough to be able to offer Stan and Ali enough wages for them to only have one job.Back on track... Shame to see Dave go but we wish him all the best! Like he said though, he hopes that this will not end his involvement in trials
Heatsink
All the best for the future Dave! It's great to see you going onwards and upwards. I wish you the best as you chase exciting new challenges, the opportunities for which you've worked hard to create. You're leaving Tartybikes in a healthy state that's for sure! I'm certain that you'll find success with your new venture Steve

spode@thinkbikes
Good Luck Dave. Thanks for all your help over the past few years. You can definitely look back and say you helped trials progress as a sport in the UK and beyond! And that's to look back on and cry about
