Greetings
Seriously thinking about getting 24" wheels for my stock, need to do some research first. My frame has 1085mm wheelbase and 45mm rise. Rear end is adjustable by about 20mm. Although the position on the bike will be identical with 24" wheels, it will undoubtedly affect the way the bike rides. Can anybody tell me roughly what difference there will be? For instance in taps, touchhops, sidehops, gaps?I'd probably stack some spacers under my stem for the bars to retain their current height, that would give me a more upright position on the bike.Any help would be appreciated, i have absolutely no idea about 24" wheels. Tomm
First off the BB would be lower - so you'd have less ground clearance. As you've already got +45mm that shouldn't be a problem (most 24" frames are +30mm or so).Apart from that there wouldn't be too much difference. The smaller wheels don't roll so well which makes taps ever-so-slightly harder, but I can't see much of a problem.
Luke Rainbird
I learnt to tap on my 24", and now can't do them at all on stock
Fishy
Wouldn't it feel like a tank for bunnyhops because its longer chain stays?
