Gmanx
In the recent Trial des Nations in the Isle of Man, Dougie Lampkin was accused of putting his foot down in the White City stage, a fact which he denied vigorously.Luckily the event was filmed and can be seen here on the local newspaper website:http://www.iomtoday.co.im/sport/Lampkin39s...udge.3255475.jpHave a look and judge for yourselves. The Hitcher
Well looks like his foot did touch the rock, but was still on the bike. So I dont know how thats judged? Can you touch with your foot as long as you dont take it off the bike??
Davetrials
i think his foot touched.
Gmanx
Yup, his foot definitely touched - but it was still on the peg. I think what he was objecting to was the fact that other riders with smaller feet would not pick up that penalty. His foot stayed on the peg at all times, so it's a tough call to make. eskimo
I guess on a bike that size (compared to a push bike) that the slight foot touch hardly helped him over that rock. So i'm guessing that's why he so unhappy..
wrongsideof40
I can see why he was given a dab from an observers point of view at the time, but looking at the video it was NOT a dab. Its a tough old game

*Tom*
His foot dose touch but it was still on the peg. Happened to me once on a log there was lump where a branch had been cut off and my foot touched it i didn't get given a point for it though, so i think the observer was being a bit harsh. basher
Pritty sure thats not classed as a dab becuase rules are that as long as your insole is on the foot peg then your foot can touch the rock ect im pritty sure thats the rule, if you watch the indoor series then you will see them do it all the time. muddyfox
On the same section Tony Bou did the same thing, maybe not quite as much toe but it looked like it touched. Anyone know if he was called on it?http://www.iomtoday.co.im/your-videos/Tria...Toni.3251095.jp Edited October 5, 2007 by muddyfox
