*PHIL*
Well, i think im gonna sell my video camera and get an DSLR.Im not sure on which one I should go for though. I've been looking at the Nikon D40 as everyone has told me its a good starter camera and that. Also, I dont knwo too much about photography yet but, how are shots like this made?Is it just using a really long shutter speed? and is this sort of thing possible on a D40 and what are the limits of shutter speed/exposure etc..?Sorry if i sound like a total idiot.I also did a search and couldnt find any existing SLR topics, even though im sure there were plenty a few weeks backPHIL
JonMack
There are loads of SLR topics, you can just ask questions in the random photo thread too, no one minds Yeah it's just long exposure, shutter settings on the D40 are adjustable from 1/4000th - 30s and bulb mode, which means as long as you hold the shutter button down, it stays open.D40 is a perfect starter camera. Can get them for about £290 on ebay now too.
