Muel
I want a free piece of DVD ripping software. I don't want any illegal shite, or trials.Tell me what to get, and I'll try it.I ask, because at my college they let you take out 1 DVD at a time, so I'll keep getting them over the next 2 years, rip them, and then give them back.EDIT: Has to be able to rip Copyrighted DVDs.EDIT: Ripped that, now I want to make it WMV. I think I have summat on cd, but I can't find me spindle. :$ Edited October 3, 2007 by El Muelio

Muel
Got it, it works! What do I do with it? Does it give out something that I can burn to another DVD? A 4.7 gb one? It's saving a .vob file onto my HD now.

ManxTrialSpaz
Total Video Converter. Unfortunately its not free but that's an unrestricted 15-day trial. Very useful tool though and so far I haven't come across a video file it doesn't convert (But it defiantly does convert .vob files). Muel
just a quick question (sorry if you feel it's offensive)you dont want an illegal copy of a DVD ripper, but you want to rip DVD's (which is illegal if you dont own them)? It is slightly less illegal. I don't feel offended at all, it's a just question. I got emailed about having illegal software, after I was stupid enough to not block it with the firewall. So now I'm clean, I have recently reinstalled windows, so I want to keep it clean of illegal stuff.I need to compress it now.

ManxTrialSpaz
Got a DVD burner? Compressed videos are appauling to watch and if you need the room on your comp its best to just burn it to DVD. And in case you don't have any burn software, I found this one pretty good.
