Rebelistic
Right yesterday I got my bike parts to build up, only to find that my current bb tool doesn't work as the axel is too fat to go through it.Can anyone recommend one that would fit. It's not the echo external it's just the normal echo isis BB.I always seem to hit problems like this.Cheers,John

Bionic Balls
personally...i'd rather go to me LBS! it's probably going to be quicker, and you can see right there and then if it will fit...i have only been to my local shop about 3 times in 3 years though ....dunno how they survive! still...you know the tarty one will fit, and you can ride tomorrow. Today you can wait for it

Tomm
Yeah, Phil's right. You just need a newer BB tool. The new Shimano one has a larger internal bore so it should fit too
Dan6061
I had some Part Tool one that fits to the end of a ratchet.Your LBS should have one if they're any good...
Rebelistic
Cheers,Yeah I do have two ISIS tools but neither fit the echo as part of the axel is too fat. I've ordered one from tarty so that should do the job, my LBS only have the ones I already have (park tool and shimano).

It uses the Shimano XTR tool... but little did I know that the normal tool wouldn't fit over my axle! I phoned up Tarty and they have had some especially machined to fit over... so if in doubt, give them a ring to gaurantee it'll fit
