Basically i might be getting a zoo pitbull to replace my woodstock, but im not sure if its worth upgrading, the zoo will leave me £50 out of pocket once i get it welded, which is money i could spend on buying a new crank arm ( so i finally have a bash! ) and new trials specific bars......opinions anyone?

Not sure of age of pitbull, but its in ok condistion, lots of scratches, with one crack under the headtube that i can get welded for £20

There is much debate about welding heat treated alu frames. have a search, but the danger is that welding heats a very localised part of the frame, ruining the heat treatment of that area. What some have found that cracks form next to the weld. This can be avoided by re-heat treating the frame, but this involves specialised equipment and knowledge to take the frame up to the right temperature then cool it down gradually.
