MadManMike
Right,As some of you know I'm looking to make my DMR slightly different. Originally planned longer forks but have since realised (Duh!) that putting bigger forks on won't really help because of the angle of the headtube.I'll use pictures to explain. My bike looks quite like this:I want an angle more like this: (Or possibly even higher!)I have no doubt people will criticise this choice, but I only use the bike to get to work and just cruise about and the occasional set of jumps so I want something nice to look at and I love that look! So, what's a good headtube angle to go for? (I know nothing!)Is it the forks on the second bike that make it higher, or is it a different angled tube? NVWOCI WVS
for a dirt bike somewhere between 70 and 72 degrees i reckon ps. how low is the bottom bracket on that bottom bike?!?!?!EDIT: spelling2nd EDIT:the geometry of the frame is the main thing that determines the head angle. longer forks will give a slacker angle but could also make the bike feel shit to ride because it messes up the rest of the geometry like bottom bracket height etc. Edited October 1, 2007 by samdoman
