Spode used a ghettttoo coke bottle lid when his tensioner went tits up, lasted the WHOLE day and he only had to put it back in once, was awesome.

Your ones fairly good, should be good, just as someone said, it's your hanger you wanna worry about.

Hmm true. I sidehop to the left anyway so doesn't make a difference (Y)

Might keep it for a while, save £30!

id just like to add that your tensioner can work one of 2 ways , it can either tension down like you have it or u can tension up . by tensioning up i mean it pushes the chain up towards the frame try this but putting your tensioner inbetween your hub and dropout and then cable tieing it pulling up towards the chainstay and problem solved .

That how I've had it up to now, but since I got the KHE the links are slightly longer than my previous chain and I just had too much slack. Also when I did tension it up it rubbed on the bottom of my frame. If I had a different chain I would tension up as it gives more engagement of the chain to the rear cog.

is that not just an existing tensioner with a roll of sellotape attached?

i.e. not lighweight but adding unneccesary weight.

haha yeah it is. But those piece of crap dmr tensioners wouldnt work properly otherwise.

I also had to saw out the plastic of the roller to make it wide enough.

The lightweight thing was a joke though.

What's problem to by new tensioner??

how did you brake it?

use dmr sts during a year already - it is still live/

Well I was using this tensioner before but pushing upwards. When I got my new chain I couldn't get the right tension pushing upwards so went about finding a different way of making it push downwards.

No problem with buying a new one. Was considering getting a 74 kingz but if I can save myself £35 don't see why not.
