Gearing?

hi i have got a 24seven holroyd with a gearing of 16t front freewheel and 12t fixed rear is this the same gear as a 22tfront fixed 18tfreewheel?

it feels a lot harder but i have been told it is the same ratio does any one know how to work it out?

Hi, I'am not 100% sure but i believe you divide the front tooth number by the back so;

16 - 12 = ratio of 1.333*

and

22-18 = ratio of 1.222*

So 16 - 12 should be slightly harder.
