Star Nuts?

Can bash it straight out the bottom if on your forks the steerer goes all the way straight out... usually just bash it down a few inches and put your new one in.... less hastle and doesn't do your forks any harm to have a dead star nut in..... oh my god think of the added weight!!! lol im useless putting star nuts in though... mines totally on the piss with a bent bolt and a off centre top cap, so ill end my wisdom there! hahaha

I need it all the way out, im planning to fit a hollowed one in, so i can do so funky new bar tricks!

are you cutting the forks down? or do u just nee to take it out?, get a bolt and pull.

If ur cutting them down, cut it, and just push it out

Need it out!

get a socket extention bar, put it on ur star nut and hit it hard with a mallet 2 or 3 times. simple.

A few forks have a strange lip at the bottom of the crown so unless you are certain you can get it all the way though should try and remove it by taking it apart inside the tube like Boum and myself said.

Bad idea... i did this the socket somehow got stuck in the forks and took 20 meaty lumps from a 2 metre 10kg sledge hammer to get it out... not good when your running koxx forks!
