Simpson Posted September 27, 2007 Report Share Posted September 27, 2007 Can bash it straight out the bottom if on your forks the steerer goes all the way straight out... usually just bash it down a few inches and put your new one in.... less hastle and doesn't do your forks any harm to have a dead star nut in..... oh my god think of the added weight!!! lol im useless putting star nuts in though... mines totally on the piss with a bent bolt and a off centre top cap, so ill end my wisdom there! hahaha Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Fixed Pants™ Posted September 27, 2007 Report Share Posted September 27, 2007 Top cap over the steerer, bolt in, as if you were tightening it all up with the forks in the bike, tighten up and it will pull it to the top, then pull it out with a claw hammer or something.
