King C
So yea what are they made from. I always thought they were made from Ti hence the name but according to some stickers on a cracked frame I bought yesterday its only the components which are Ti/betterI want to know cos I need to get the frame welded. It also bring to mind: what are the differences in the 221Ti frame and the 221pr frame? Geo? Different aluminium alloy?
Waddy
there made from 7005 (i think) aluminium, the TI in the name refers to the titanium fixings , as for the diference between the TI and Pr i think its abit of both, better grade alloy (in the TI) and diferent geo
Bionic Balls
definitely aluminium alloy! misleading though....triton are proper Ti
basher
Alloy there made out of and as for the ti bit i think its about the non driveside spokes being ti an maybe ti bolts cant think of owt else that will be. Theres 5mm difference in wheel base thats the only geo difference, the ti being the longer one.
Dan6061
Aren't the Ti's hand-made aswell? - Read it on here somewhere...
Greetings
Aren't the Ti's hand-made aswell? - Read it on here somewhere...Pretty sure every other Monty frame is as well. I think they're made by Pulo, thought all their frames were hand made? It's cheaper to use people rather than robots in China
Dan Clark
Ti's are handmade in Spain by adults.Pr's are handmade in China by children.
Token
Isn't the Ti also triple butted Alu whereas the Pr is just.... not?p.s: as for the other questions, I think there are no similarities, I'll look for the previous topic asking.
