Motivation And Practise Techniques

Hello Guys and Girls,

After riding that comp at Hood Woods on sunday i came to realise that i do actually suck balls at natural riding.

Sooooo... I obviously realised that some sort of training is required to help me get better, BUT!

I hate riding by myself, There are a few riders around my area but most of which either don't like natural riding or are busy etc so i have no other choice but to do it alone.

This is where you Guys and Girls come in. I need some ideas on how to motivate oneself in order to get myself out slog it out, also... What sort of training tips/techniques etc would you give???

Any ideas/advice/abuse lol would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Jakey

Thats the thing, no-one really comes out in my neck of the woods especially when it comes to natural lol, All streety boys.

Nearest place i can ride with a small group is Hastings/Tonbridge area and thats £10 on fuel everytime, quite expensive if you want to do that 2-3 times a week on a student income lol.

jake, there are two full time riders in your town that you could learn from , one is this years 20" senior british champion the other came third in the worlds and they have both had podium positions in europe this year, all you have to do is pop along and join in and have a go even if the places are hard riding just do the smaller stuff, you are always welcome.

Hook wood on sunday was epic fun though!

If you could make it me and some guys might ride Hook Woods again this weekend?

I find riding natural on my own a pleasure actually, though can get in some sticky situations when I fall between rocks when no one is there to help me out.

Dunno, just pick some lines that your able to achieve easily and try and improve on mixing it up abit, throwing in a manual or rolling endos or whatever and it starts to become fun. your ability will progress faster than you think, then you can take the piss at comps when you make the section look easy by pulling 360 hurricanes over logs or whatever. ^_^

hey roy!!

yeah i know that james n stuff practises alot, so if you can get him to let me know when you lot train then i'll join you, james has my number so if he forgets just give him a boot!! lol

"Philonza" sounds good would love to do it but birthday celebration this week lol plus gotta remember how to get there from folkestone as i followed up roy and james sheridan.

"glassvegas" Good ideas there, may try them out tomorrow night if its not too windy on the coast. also any ideas on how to drag one's ass out of the computer and onto the bike? Because usually riding by myself only lasts about 30mins or so as i get bored with no-one egging me on or w/e. im guessing setting myself a few small goals and achieving them would be a good start??

Good help so far though guys :)
