walker
As the title says, has anyone ground them and used them with a magura, all the bikes ive seen have used rear disk brakes. Has anyone got any experience of grinding them, i need a new rim and currently grind a try-all, which aint the best of rims. Also, another question, has anyone got monty tyres, but only the rear one has monty written on it in the red and white writing?help much appreciated!Andrew

walker
kk thats good, just got mine in the post today, look really nice, they're to go on my leeson when i get it backanyone else?Andrewyer, im looking forward to seeing how monty tyres compare to try-all, ive had creepy crawlers before, but not for a while, they seemed good though. Try-all wear out too fast, so that left me with monty, and they're a bit cheaper than try-allsAndrew Edited November 16, 2007 by walk_aw
eskimo
The Eagle Claws wear faster than the Creepy Crawlers. As for grip i'm not sure but the Eagle Claws look the part either way..
Mat Smith!
Anything bar sticky fingers and luna tires wear faster than creepy crawlers.Matx
Mike W
Noooooo dont get a monty rim mine lasted like 5 weeks and then split down the middle, was a good build too and only had one light grind. Get echo/try-all
NileBrownâ„¢
My mate Nick (Nick Dale) has a echo team with all monty parts and he has a ground monty rim and it seems quite good and seems resonably strong, he's ground it a few times but im sure they hold grinds ok. walker
that sounds more like it, i hear many people say, "dont get this part, my mate has broken one within so many weeks", but you find out for your self, i know what a lot of street riders are like, i am of the soft riding kind, my try-all rim is nearly dead now, but its only due to being nearly 3 years old, with at least 10 grinds to its name, so i havnt been doing so bad!Andrew
Barbara Logan-Price
ground mine once and is now egged like a bitch after bout 2 months to be fair i have given it a fair few beatings Edited September 24, 2007 by alex!beastytrials
eskimo
If you run a harder pressure it will last a whole lot longer. Most of these people, when they blow up the rims, have been running 10psi.
RossMcd
I had a Monty rim. had like 6 or seven grinds before it died. After the last grind it would dent very easily but if you dont grind it every to weeks then it should be fine. that was sort of the problem here lol
