Echo External Bb Gay Problem :(

hello all, ive installed a echo externall bb and its gay!

when you do up one side/one pedal arm, its fine... the crank will spin for ever, but when you do up the other one, it goes really tight!

does any one know whats happened? it just goes soooo stiff and the cranks wont spin at all.

help! :D

Running front freewheel by any chance?

Edit: Sorry not very helpful... If so thats your problem, need to take some washers out or get a thinner bash etc. because external bbs aren't designed to be used with a front wheel set up. There just isn't enough space.

You can get a few different shell sizes. Most common is 68mm.

Anyhow i hear of a few problems like this when it comes to using them. Best bet would be to, bodge a washer in there somewhere. Or just not worry to much about it?

But you say it goes stiff when you put the crank arm on? Or isit when you screw the second cup in?

when i screw the 2nd crank arm on. tightened hand tight is ok, one 1/4 turn of the allen key and its gettigng stiff, but the arm is still slightly worky.. if you get me?

tighten it up proper, ive got trouble turnin the bloody thing..!
