MadManMike
Right,I sold my iPod because I hated iTunes.I'm trying to get music onto a 2gb Nano - I have 119 tracks to sync. I've made a playlist with these 119 and I've set the iPod to sync to the playlist. It starts fine, does about 20 tracks then gives you the annoying Apple logo and "OK to disconnect". Well it clearly isn't ok, as you haven't transferred the damn music! Why is it doing this?Should we burn the iPod and buy a Sony?Seriously, Apple products really do not impress me - I've never used one without problems. Tomm
Try resetting the ipod (google for instructions) and try again? Or reinstall iTunes? All the simple things first.Sony MP3 players are worse than iPods for the software though - Sonic Stage is wank.
MadManMike
It's stopping after every song now!!!!!!!!!!!!I've restored and updated the iPod too with no luck.Apple - why can you not just let me drag and drop?!?!?!?!?!?We only just installed it all on the PC - it's the latest iTunes on Vista.Latest iPod software too...I've completed the sync now, but had to click sync about 12 times - it was doing ten songs at a time and stuff....Christ.I had a Philips once that used Windows Explorer > Right Click > Send To type thing, so much easier! (It played WMA & MP3 so no converting either)
JonMack
You can drag and drop in iTunes. I don't see why people have such a huge problem with iTunes, it's always worked for me at playing music, syncing my 35Gb library to my iPod and adding tracks to my Nano.Just select the songs you want, drag them onto the iPod, and they go onto it. You don't need to create a playlist.

Krisboats
My itunes always crashes if i try adding my music folder from the file menu, i have to drag and drop groups of 10 or so artists at a time so it doesn't crash. Doesn't matter what version of itunes i use or what settings, it just can't handle my music folder without dying.Meh, its okay i guess... media player died with my collection back when it was half the size it is now.
