g-rex
Ok. Firstly I.m completely new to all this so go easy on me!Been riding mtb's for a few years now. Can trackstand for ages so my balance isn't too bad. A friend of a friend had a trials bike he never used so offered him a few quid and bought it off him. I know its not a brilliant bike but thought it'd be ok to try and learn on. It's a Diamondback (stock 26" wheels, hydraulic rim brakes)My problem is, is that I find it easier to balance on my mtb than I do this. The bars seem far too low for me (I'm 6"2) and I wondered if it would be easier to learn on if I raised the bars a way??Any advice appreciated.rex

steve@banbury-trials
most people (bmxers and joe public) say my bike is pretty low but then again i find trials bikes a generally lower,if you don't like the bar height put a few spacers under the stem and see how it feels.what bike are you riding ,perhaps its the geomentry that makes it feel low?steve

So is it worth persevering with this bike or should I sell it on and try something else?? Don't see the point in wasting hours of practice if I'd learn much quicker on another bike. Bear in mind I'm skint though!
