Matthew_Gibson
I'm going to get my stock back up and running and put a vee brake on the back. I have the adaptors. I need the brake arms, and pads. I just want to know whats the best options when it come to these. I can "borrow" a rear of a matey at work. Its an Avid SD5. I'll use this untill i can get a better one, or will this be okay? Also pads - The rim will be either unground, or I will put a LIGHT grind on it. Which pads? Plazmatics V-flys, rock pads, Heatsinks?? Anyother pads worth giving a shot with a grind??Thanks!
willy wonka
coust pads in cnc vee backings and a light grindsd5's should be fine.. just a bit more spongy than sd7's or ultimatesbut deffinitely get a sd7 lever, you then have the red dial so that you can adjust the stiffness/spongyness/powerget some decent cable on there too, linear slik cable is good Edited September 19, 2007 by willy wonka
Matthew_Gibson
Yeah I got lever sorted! I'll just get it sorted on the cheap for now! and get better cables as and when i need them
King C
Rock greens are pretty good pads to go for. Although the glue used to hold them in is abit pants but abit of the ol' home gluing will sort that out. Jez
Heatsink reds on sd7s/smooth rim here.f**king fantastic, just don't ride in the rain.Work best either a) when just slightly damp (when it's spitting) or when ragingly hot (i.e. an hour or so into a ride).
