Learn to backhop before you spend £1400 on a new bike for f**ks sake.

Well yes, your kind of right that it isnt a good idea to use money on a new bike if he even cant do a backhop.

but still if he has made up his mind and wants to continue riding then a good bike keeps u going and improve skills.

so good luck with that bike!

It shouldn't be that big of a deal as there not that long. Your 13, you still got many years to learn. I'm 14 and so do I. I'm 5'8 so I am probably more

suited to a long bike. I would say you would be better suited to a shorter frame like a Monty or something. Don't get the new Kamel though, they suck!
