James-M
I've had cuts like that before when the skin actually kind of opens up, but there's no need to go to hospital, it should heal on its own, and once it's stopped bleeding if you let the air get to it, it will heal in no time. Edit: If you did go to hospital, after waiting for hours, you will only get about 3 butterfly stitches, so there's really no need. Krisboats
just got back.all is good.they cleaned it and put paper stichings then a dressing onDid you have to wait long? I know it varies on the location and time of day but i'm sure many people on here get shin digs like that and it could help as a bit of a guide as to whether it would be worth going to hospital or not.We should have a seperate thread with shin digs and their severity Post a picture and rate it 1-10, 1 being a light cut not worthy of anything more than pouring some water on to clean it and 10 being full on gash that needs like 30 stitches. It'd give people a guide, as i'm sure there'll be loads more in the future.

Greetings
Nope, that's nothing serious. I'd only go if you care about the aesthetics of your shin after it heals.
